Traditionally, one of the great spring holidays for families is Easter. Growing up, most of us can remember special Easter baskets filled with good things or an Easter Egg Hunt at grandmother’s house and of course, going to get new clothes for church. Well folks still get Easter baskets and most still have an Easter Egg hunt, but many families do not include church with the family as a part of the schedule. However, Easter is a time to remember the day that man was made aware that there is the reality of eternal life. It is the day that we recall 2019 years ago that Jesus Christ rose from the dead to give to all that believe in Him life everlasting with God. That is not an insignificant event or moment. So, while you plan to have Easter baskets, Easter eggs, and an Easter meal together, don’t forget that the reason we have Easter is to remember that God provided a way for us to be forgiven for sin. Because of Jesus’ payment of our sin penalty through His death on the cross, and the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, we now have the understanding that there is life after life with God for all that believe in Jesus. Now that is cause to celebrate!
